What if language lost its meaning, but we still kept talking? 　　Can Circle Circles is a surreal animation that deconstructs the relationship between language and meaning. Inspired by semiotics, absurdism, and divination systems like Tarot, the film uses poetic visuals and unpredictable voiceovers to create a space of uncertainty.

The clandestine world of crop circles is threatened when an ambitious TV journalist plans to expose the truth drawing her into the enigma of lights, Celtic mythology and UFOs to discover both the beauty and danger in the mystery she seeks.

How much do we sense, speculate, and respond to the signs conveyed by the life and death of other beings? How can we open up our clandestine relationship with them? Rather than blur or abolish boundaries, can we sustain the tension that animates such alterity and not neutralize that relationship? In search of answers, whale-time and human-time dive into small circles where emptiness and fullness meet.

After Aliens arrive, the story takes place in two time streams: 2017 and 2037. In twenty years, and by 2037, the world has been divided into a “Smart Earth” where artificial intelligence has created a utopian environment in which no diseases or crimes exist, and an “Ordinary Earth” where people still suffer from rampant plague and lawlessness.

When remorseless killer James Bennett escapes from lockdown in a mental hospital, an FBI agent and a U.S. Marshal track the madman to his hometown, where he plans to slay a group of graduate students studying his case. But to catch their prey, the officers must plumb the mysteries of psychology, Greek mythology and more.

Depressed writer Aziz, returns to his hometown Antakya years later to confront himself. Over time, Aziz begins to meet and observes his neighbors, who are alienated from themselves and the society, living on the first three floors of the apartment where he lives. As he wanders the streets of Antakya and experiences the sense of belonging, he finds the courage to confront himself. With little touches to the drama of his neighbors, he helps them find themselves too.

Saul Barnard grew up in a family of woodcutters. The woodcutters are scared of the elephants in the forest, but there's one elephant that never seems to threaten Saul. Tired of being exploited by wood buyers, Saul takes a stand and his father chases him away. He goes to work on the wood buyer MacDonald's wood yard, where he gets to know MacDonald's daughter, Kate, and falls in love with her. After a few years he leaves MacDonald and joins the first prospectors in the forest, searching for gold. Millwood becomes a small town with hotels and bars and houses. Kate appears again.

The film observes three circular patterns: cherry blossom petals circling in a rushing mountain stream and among rain drops; the changing sky and seasons seen on a reflective dome; and the blooming and fading of flowers. Circles and cycles appear often in daily life. This film, made entirely from still photos, creates a new vision and raises philosophical questions about time and lifecycles.
